From January 1, 2025 (Yes, last year!), a new regulation — Joint Resolution No. 13/2024, issued by the Central Bank of Brazil (BACEN) and the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) — has modernized access to the non-resident bank account in Brazil, officially called CND (Conta de Não Residente).
💡 The non-resident bank account is a bank account in Brazilian reais (BRL) available for those without tax residency in Brazil.
